Grapefruit-seed Extract

Demonstrated to be effective against 800 different types of viruses, bacteria, yeasts and fungi, grapefruit-seed extract is a powerful weapon in disease prevention and treatment. This versatile extract consists of oils obtained when grapefruit seeds and membranes are ground up and combined with carrier substances (glycerine and distilled water). Grapefruit-seed extract is high in vitamins C and E and also contains substances that help the body's cells absorb these nutrients efficiently. In fact, the vitamins C and E in grapefruit-seed extract are absorbed 20-50 times more effectively than the same vitamins found in other foods. The extract also contains a high concentration of bioflavonoids. These important substances have an antioxidant action and can neutralize the free radicals that can damage cells and cause a number of illnesses.

Using grapefruit-seed extract

  • For internal use, put 8 drops of grapefruit-seed extract in a glass of water. Stir it thoroughly so the extract doesn't sink to the bottom of the glass. Drink the extract in small sips. Do not take more than 3 glasses a day.
  • The above solution can also be used as a mouth rinse or gargle.
  • For external use, apply grapefruit-seed extract directly to the skin.

Note : Undiluted grapefruit-seed extract should never be applied directly to mucous membranes (such as the lining of the mouth) because it could be caustic.

Therapeutic effect
Grapefruit-seed extract works both externally and internally against viruses, yeast, bacteria and fungi by killing germs. At the same time grapefruit-seed extract stimulates the immune system. Another benefit is that unlike antibiotic drugs, the extract doesn't destroy the helpful bacteria that are normally present in the mouth, intestine and vagina.

Components
Grapefruit-seed extract contains bioflavonoids, vitamin C and E, which all work as antioxidants. In fact, grapefruit-seed extract is believed to be one of the most powerful natural antioxidants available.

For candidiasis
Candida albicans is a yeast that is normally found in the body, but occasionally it can grow out of control, weakening the immune system and causing a condition called candidiasis. A three week course of treatment with grapefruit-seed extract can help: week one, drink a glass of water containing 8 drops of the extract every day. Week 2, drink two glasses, each containing 8 drops of extract, daily. Week 3, drink 3 glasses daily.

Extra Tip : Because of its germicidal effect, grapefruit-seed extract can be helpful around the house. Instead of relying on cleaning chemicals, use a solution made from 10 drops of the extract in 1 qt. of water.

Used for all types of infections, inflammations, weakened immunity and warts

Methods of administration

For osteoporosis
Bone density decreases with age, due in part to free radicals that attack the bone cells and their cell membranes and initiate the aging process. The result is a porous bone structure, or osteoporosis. The antioxidants in grapefruit seeds help minimize bone loss by neutralizing free radicals. In addition to other vital preventive measures, such as adequate calcium intake and exercise, taking 8 drops of grapefruit-seed extract daily in a glass of water can help, protect bones over the long term.

For herpes simplex virus
Physicians have observed that the herpes simplex virus becomes inactive just 10 min. after application of a grapefruit-seed extract solution. Dip a cotton swab in a mix of 1 part grapefruit seed extract and 9 parts water; dab it on the affected area.

For pesticide residue
Use a solution of grapefruit-seed extract and water to wash fruits and vegetables to remove any pesticides, microbes or bacteria that might be present on the surface.

For head lice
Grapefruit seed extract has been shown to provide swift relief from head lice. Mix two-quarters shampoo and one quarter grapefruit seed extract solutions (20 drops of extract to 1 cup of water) and thoroughly massage it into the hair and scalp. Then place a shower cap over the hair, and allow the mixture to work for approximately 20 min. rinse the hair well, and groom with a delousing comb. More than 1 application of this treatment may be necessary.
