This is a tall tree which grows abundantly in Malaysia and the Philippines. The name means 'white tree'. It comes from the same family as tea-tree.
Properties:

Contra-indications:
Cajeput may be a skin irritant in high concentrations.
Extraction:
Steam distillation of the fresh leaves.
Uses:
- Neuralgia.
- Rheumatism.
- Lung congestion.
- Toothache.
- Earache.
- Colds.
Skin conditions such as acne.
Cajeput is also good for massaging tired muscles and joints.
It can also be used as an inhalation for laryngitis and bronchitis.
Scent: Medicinal camphorous smell.
